- The deployed system is stated to support 30 MW of AI IT workloads for an unnamed hyperscale customer.
- The 30 MW figure is not the total capacity of the CLDC Mumbai 01 campus.
- CLDC Mumbai 01 is listed as under development with 108 MW of total campus power capacity.
- Vertiv reported Level 4 testing before customer go-live, but did not disclose an operational start date.
Vertiv has completed delivery and deployment of a secondary fluid network for direct-to-chip liquid cooling at CLDC Mumbai 01 in Airoli, Navi Mumbai. The facility is owned by CapitaLand India Trust, while CapitaLand Investment worked with Vertiv on project execution.
The system transfers coolant from the facility cooling system to cold plates on compute components. Vertiv says the deployment supports 30 MW of AI workloads for an unnamed hyperscale customer. This is an IT-load figure for the cooling deployment, rather than the total capacity of the data-center campus.
CapitaLand lists CLDC Mumbai 01 as a carrier-neutral campus under development with 108 MW of total power capacity. That figure should not be treated as installed liquid-cooling capacity or as confirmation that 108 MW of AI load is operational.
Vertiv said it completed Level 4 testing before the customer goes live. The company has not disclosed the date of operational start-up, the identity of the hyperscale customer, or the commercial value of the project.
The project points to growing demand for integrated liquid-cooling architectures for high-density AI racks in India. For infrastructure suppliers, this could shift value beyond individual cooling components toward fluid-network engineering, specialised skid fabrication, installation, balancing and integrated testing.
The deployment demonstrates liquid cooling being applied to a large AI workload in an Indian data center. It also underscores the need to distinguish between capacity supported by a dedicated cooling system and a campus’s total power capacity: the 30 MW figure relates to the AI IT load served by the cooling deployment, not the full site.
