A consortium led by Saigon Technology and Telecommunications JSC (SAIGONTEL) has submitted a letter of intent to Tay Ninh provincial authorities for an AI-focused data-center complex in Nam Tan Tap Industrial Park, Vietnam. The proposal targets up to 200MW of IT load, subject to investment-policy approval and agreement on power supply.

  • The consortium has submitted a letter of intent, not a final investment decision or construction notice.
  • The proposed campus targets up to 200MW of total IT load.
  • A 100MW first phase is proposed with approximately US$3.5 billion of investment.
  • First-phase construction is planned for Q4 2026, with commercial operation targeted for 2027.
  • Investment-policy approval and final power-supply arrangements remain outstanding.

The SAIGONTEL, World Harmony Co., Ltd. (WVU) and SAIF Eagle II Investment Co., Ltd. consortium submitted a letter of intent to the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee on August 28 for an AI-focused data-center complex in Nam Tan Tap Industrial Park, Tan Thap commune.

The proposed development would target up to 200MW of total IT load. Its first phase is planned at 100MW, with proposed investment of about US$3.5 billion. The consortium is considering a site of approximately 20 hectares within the industrial park.

Construction of the first phase is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026, with commercial operation targeted in 2027. These dates remain planning targets rather than confirmed delivery milestones.

Before the project can proceed to review and approval of its investment policy, the consortium must finalise a power-supply plan and associated mechanisms with provincial authorities and the power sector. That process makes grid and power-readiness arrangements a central dependency for the proposed campus.

The 200MW IT-load proposal indicates an intention to establish infrastructure capable of serving compute-intensive AI and cloud workloads in southern Vietnam. For the market, however, it remains potential future supply: the project is at the letter-of-intent and preparatory stage, not at final investment decision, construction or commercial operation.

If approved and developed, the proposal would represent a large planned expansion of AI-oriented computing infrastructure in Vietnam, with up to 200MW of targeted IT load. It remains prospective capacity rather than delivered supply: power planning and investment approvals are key conditions for the project to advance.
