  • Heim’s first data centres are planned in Finland, with subsequent European expansion presented as an intention.
  • The platform targets hyperscale, cloud and AI workloads.
  • Funding will support team growth, organisational development and project advancement.
  • No investment value, facility capacity, CAPEX, site details or delivery timeline was disclosed.
  • The stated more-than-2.5-GW figure relates to the leadership team’s previous delivery record, not Heim project capacity.

Omnes Capital has invested in Heim Datacenter through its CEP2 fund, providing backing for the company’s planned European data-centre platform.

Heim intends to develop its first data centres in Finland before expanding elsewhere in Europe. The company is targeting hyperscalers, cloud customers and AI workloads, with its platform designed around the associated requirements for power supply, cooling and efficient energy use.

The funding is intended to expand Heim’s team and organisation and advance its projects. Heim says it plans to design, build, own and operate large-scale facilities, retaining long-term responsibility for the assets. During early project development, the company is assessing heat-reuse opportunities and engaging with local communities.

The transaction remains at an early stage. Neither the investment amount nor its financial terms were disclosed, and no capacity, CAPEX, specific sites or construction and commissioning timetable for the planned Finnish facilities has been provided.

Heim states that its founders and leadership team have previously delivered more than 2.5 GW of capacity across Europe. That figure reflects the team’s prior experience, rather than capacity attributable to Heim’s own planned projects.

For the market, the investment could indicate continued infrastructure-capital interest in European platforms positioned for hyperscale and AI demand. It could also contribute to competition for sites with available power, effective cooling and heat-reuse potential, particularly in Northern Europe. The transaction’s eventual effect on delivered data-centre supply cannot yet be quantified.

Почему это важно

The investment provides early-stage backing for a new European data-centre platform focused on workloads with demanding power, cooling and energy-efficiency requirements. It may add to competition for power-accessible sites, efficient cooling and heat-reuse opportunities in Northern Europe, although no project capacity, CAPEX or delivery timetable has been disclosed.
