  • Moy is targeting stronger engagement with hyperscale and colocation operators at early project stages.

Moy Group has named Kelly Phillips as its new chief executive officer, promoting its former Chief Growth Officer as the company pursues its next stage of international expansion. Cathal Quinn, previously CEO, has become chairman.

Phillips said she intends to strengthen Moy’s role as a partner to hyperscale and colocation operators from requirements definition and system selection through to delivery support. For data-centre developers and operators, this places greater emphasis on early-stage engagement around roofing and waterproofing systems—elements of the building envelope that are relevant to the resilience and protection of critical infrastructure assets.

Moy supplies roofing and waterproofing systems to hyperscale operators, pharmaceutical manufacturers and other critical-infrastructure facilities. Founded in Ireland in 1979, the company operates across 19 countries in EMEA and North America. Phillips brings six years of experience across the data-centre ecosystem, according to the available source.

The leadership move could indicate an effort by Moy to deepen both commercial and technical engagement with the hyperscale and colocation segments. However, the practical market effect will depend on execution: no new customer contracts, manufacturing expansion, capital investment, capacity targets or new facilities were disclosed.

Почему это важно

The appointment may shape how a specialist supplier of roofing and waterproofing systems engages with large data-centre customers, particularly during early project definition and system selection. It is a management development, not an announcement of new data-centre capacity, contracts, investment or construction activity.
