LS Eco Energy has announced plans to invest approximately KRW 8 billion in LS Eco Energy Vietnam Manufacturing Corporation (LSCV), its Ho Chi Minh City manufacturing subsidiary, to establish production of epoxy-insulated busducts.

The equipment is intended for high-power electrical supply applications, including very large data centers. LSCV plans to begin mass production in the second half of next year, adding epoxy-insulated products to its existing film-type busduct line. The company says the expansion will double its total busduct manufacturing capacity.

For data-center operators and electrical-infrastructure contractors, busducts are a component of on-site power distribution for facilities handling large power loads. The investment points to an effort to expand supply for high-power distribution demand associated with AI and hyperscale data-center development in Southeast Asia.

LSCV has operated its busduct business since 2018 and, according to the source, supplies global hyperscale data centers in Indonesia and Malaysia. Its first-half sales in the current year increased more than threefold year on year, though no absolute sales figure or comparable-period dates were provided.

The expansion remains a plan rather than operational capacity. The company has not disclosed current or future busduct output in physical units, so the scale of the stated doubling cannot be quantified. It also has not disclosed confirmed orders tied to the new epoxy-insulated production line.

Почему это важно

The planned expansion adds manufacturing capacity for high-power internal electrical distribution equipment used in large data centers. If delivered as planned, it could broaden Southeast Asian availability of epoxy-insulated busducts for AI and hyperscale projects, although neither absolute output capacity nor confirmed orders were disclosed.
