Lotte Innovate and CMC Corporation signed a strategic business-cooperation MOU in Hanoi on 13 October. The agreement covers five areas: hyperscale data centers, cloud services, cybersecurity, offshore IT services and electric-vehicle charging infrastructure.
For the data center segment, Lotte Innovate intends to explore opportunities in Vietnam’s hyperscale market using its design-build-operate capabilities. CMC is expected to contribute its local business network, with the parties seeking customers and potential business opportunities.
The agreement establishes a basis for a Korean provider of data center DBO capabilities to assess the Vietnamese market alongside a local IT group. CMC operates across software, AI, cloud services and digital infrastructure.
No specific data center project has been approved or disclosed.
