Taiwanese copper-clad laminate supplier ITEQ said its M9 low-CTE, ultra-low-loss material passed validation by a U.S. GPU manufacturer in the second half of 2025. The company is positioning the qualification within its push toward advanced materials for AI servers and other high-end electronics markets.
- ITEQ said M9 passed validation by an unnamed U.S. GPU manufacturer in H2 2025.
- The company is targeting advanced-material opportunities across server, switch, storage and base-station markets.
- Low-loss laminate qualification may improve supply-chain access, but does not confirm commercial production or procurement.
- AI-server upgrades are supporting demand for higher-specification copper-clad laminates.
ITEQ said its M9 low-CTE, ultra-low-loss copper-clad laminate passed validation by a U.S. GPU manufacturer in the second half of 2025.
The milestone concerns a material used in high-performance electronic assemblies, where signal integrity requirements are increasingly important for AI-server platforms. ITEQ said its M8 ultra-low-loss material had not reached the same position, while describing M9 as the first among peers to secure the validation. That competitive characterization reflects the company’s cited source and is not supported by comparable market-performance data.
The company is pursuing a higher-margin product mix centred on advanced materials and the “4S” markets: servers, switches, storage and base stations. For data-center infrastructure supply chains, the development points to intensifying competition among suppliers of high-frequency, low-loss PCB materials as AI-server architectures advance.
A validation milestone may expand ITEQ’s potential participation in accelerator and server-platform supply chains if it leads to follow-on orders. However, the disclosed information does not identify the GPU manufacturer or provide qualified volumes, purchase orders, production capacity, revenue contribution or evidence of commercial shipments. It also does not indicate deployment of the material in servers or data centers.
AI-server platform upgrades are increasing demand for low-loss PCB substrate materials. The qualification could strengthen ITEQ’s access to the AI-server supply chain if it is followed by commercial orders, but validation alone does not establish volume production, revenue, server shipments or data-center deployment.
