  • IndexBox projects 6.2% CAGR for the global server-room and data-center water-leak detection market in 2026–2035.
  • The forecast market index reaches 182 in 2035, with 2025 set at 100.
  • Hyperscale data centers are estimated to represent the largest demand segment, at 35%.
  • Liquid cooling and higher IT density are identified as additional demand drivers.
  • Integration with DCIM and BMS is expected to become more important than standalone alarm functionality.
  • Large-operator qualification and design-in cycles are estimated at 12–24 months.

IndexBox’s October 6 market review forecasts steady expansion in the global market for water-leak detection systems serving server rooms and data centers. Under its base-case scenario, the market would grow at a 6.2% compound annual rate from 2026 to 2035, reaching an index of 182 in 2035 against a 2025 base of 100.

The outlook links demand to continued expansion of hyperscale, colocation and edge data centers, rising IT equipment density, uptime requirements and the wider use of liquid cooling. These factors could elevate leak detection from a local facility-protection function to a broader element of data-center operational resilience.

Hyperscale facilities are estimated to account for 35% of demand, followed by colocation data centers at 25% and enterprise data centers at 20%. The segment shares are estimates cited by IndexBox rather than reported market measurements.

The review identifies a transition from standalone alarms toward integrated systems connected to DCIM and BMS platforms. This could shift supplier differentiation beyond individual sensors toward integration capability, support for scaled deployments, and software, service or subscription-based models.

Regionally, IndexBox expects Asia-Pacific to lead in new capacity additions, while North America and Europe focus on modernization and upgrades. For suppliers seeking to enter large-operator and hyperscale accounts, the publication notes design-in and certification cycles of 12–24 months, which may favor vendors that are already qualified.

The forecast is a market outlook from a single source, not evidence of actual sales, contract awards or deployments. Its market index is a relative measure and does not indicate the market’s monetary value.

Почему это важно

Water-leak detection is increasingly positioned as operational-resilience infrastructure rather than a standalone protective system. Higher IT densities and wider deployment of liquid cooling could increase the consequences of water incidents, supporting demand for integrated monitoring, software and service offerings alongside sensors.
