High-M Solutek Plans to Extend AI Data Center Cooling Service to Liquid Cooling
Редакция ЦОД:Главное
High-M Solutek, LG Electronics’ HVAC service subsidiary, plans to expand its integrated AI data center cooling service from chillers and ancillary HVAC equipment to liquid-cooling infrastructure, including coolant distribution units (CDUs) and direct cooling systems (TCS). The company also intends to link remote monitoring through LG Electronics’ BECON Cloud with on-site inspection, diagnostics and emergency response.
- High-M Solutek plans to add CDU and TCS service to its AI data center cooling maintenance scope.
- The company intends to pair BECON Cloud remote monitoring with field diagnostics and emergency response.
- Its existing data center service coverage includes chillers, cooling towers, AHUs and building management systems.
- The company says its data center cooling-equipment service sites are about 71% higher this year than in 2021.
- The liquid-cooling expansion remains planned; no deployment timeline or customer installations were disclosed.
High-M Solutek plans to broaden its integrated maintenance scope for AI data center cooling systems to include liquid-cooling equipment, alongside its existing service coverage for chillers and other HVAC infrastructure.
The proposed service perimeter includes coolant distribution units (CDUs) and direct cooling systems (TCS). High-M Solutek already provides integrated service for data center air-conditioning equipment, including LG Electronics chillers, cooling towers, air-handling units (AHUs) and building management systems.
The company also plans to combine remote monitoring through LG Electronics’ BECON Cloud with field inspections, diagnostics and emergency call-outs. This approach would connect remote condition visibility with on-site response across both conventional cooling infrastructure and equipment operating closer to server components.
For AI data centers, the operational importance of liquid-cooling service is rising as cooling-system reliability becomes more closely linked to server performance and availability. Failures or degraded operation in CDUs, direct cooling equipment or their monitoring systems can contribute to performance reduction and downtime risk.
High-M Solutek said the number of sites at which it services data center cooling equipment was about 71% higher this year than in 2021. The company did not disclose the absolute number of sites, the measurement methodology or the precise measurement period.
The announcement is a planned service expansion rather than confirmation that the new liquid-cooling capabilities have already been deployed at specific data center sites. No implementation timeline, investment level, engineer headcount, customer list, data center capacity or installed CDU/TCS base was disclosed.
The planned expansion reflects a shift in AI data center service requirements from conventional air-side HVAC maintenance toward integrated operation of liquid-cooling systems. Reliability of CDUs, direct cooling equipment and associated monitoring is increasingly important in avoiding server-performance degradation and downtime. The move could increase the value of service providers able to combine monitoring, field engineering, spare parts and emergency support across multiple cooling layers.
