Gen Precision Expands CPO Optical Inspection Capability to 80 Channels
Редакция ЦОД:Главное
Taiwan-based Gen Precision said it has expanded customized high-precision inspection of FAU and related optical components to support up to 80 channels and specialized specifications. The company also reported completing its first equipment deliveries and said it will support Lintes Technology in developing CPO test equipment.
- Gen Precision said its customized FAU and related-component inspection capability now supports up to 80 channels.
- GTK-OSI1 is positioned for automated inspection of FA, V-Groove and MT/MMC ferrule components, with stated image-measurement repeatability of 3σ ≤ 0.1 μm.
- The company reported its first equipment deliveries but did not disclose customers or shipment volumes.
- Gen Precision said customized equipment adjustment and delivery can take about six to eight months after specifications are confirmed.
- Gen Precision will support Lintes Technology’s development of test equipment for optical engines and FAU-integrated CPO products.
Gen Precision is extending its customized inspection offering for fiber-array-unit (FAU) and related optical components from selective inspection toward automated deployment in volume-production lines. The company said the capability now covers components with up to 80 channels, as well as specialized specifications.
Its GTK-OSI1 system is intended for automated inspection of passive optical components, including FA, V-Groove and MT/MMC ferrules. Gen Precision stated that the platform delivers image-measurement repeatability of 3σ ≤ 0.1 μm for those components.
The company said it has completed its first equipment deliveries. Following specification confirmation, it indicated that customized adjustment and delivery can be completed in approximately six to eight months. This is a stated delivery target after specifications are agreed, rather than a confirmed delivery schedule for an identified customer project.
Separately, Gen Precision said it will assist Career Technology with development of CPO test equipment covering optical engines and FAU-integrated CPO products. The effort points to continued build-out of manufacturing and test infrastructure for co-packaged optics and the optical interconnects used in AI server platforms.
If adoption of automated inspection on customer production lines scales, it could support a faster transition from specialized optical-component development to more repeatable volume manufacturing. The available information does not identify customers, shipment volumes, installed production lines, or operating performance of the CPO test systems.

AI server platforms are raising performance and manufacturing-control requirements for optical interconnects. Scalable, automated inspection for CPO components could help optical suppliers move from selective checks toward repeatable production-line quality control, potentially shortening verification and product-introduction cycles.
