DC Market Insights has released a forecast for the global green data-center market, projecting growth from USD 26.71 billion in 2025 to USD 90.38 billion by 2035. The report also forecasts expansion in direct-to-chip liquid cooling and retrofit spending as AI workloads increase infrastructure requirements.

Главное
  • DC Market Insights forecasts the global green data-center market at USD 90.38 billion by 2035, from USD 26.71 billion in 2025.
  • The forecast implies a 12.96% CAGR for 2025-2035.
  • Direct-to-chip liquid cooling is projected to reach USD 17.33 billion by 2035.
  • Data-center retrofit spending is forecast to rise to USD 18.41 billion by 2035.
  • North America represented 41.4% of the market in 2025, according to the source.

DC Market Insights has added its “Green Data Center Market - Growth, Share, Opportunities & Competitive Analysis, 2026-2035” report to its offering. The associated release projects that the global green data-center market will expand from USD 26.71 billion in 2025 to USD 90.38 billion by 2035, representing a forecast CAGR of 12.96% over the period.

The report’s projections place liquid cooling and retrofit activity at the center of this expansion. The direct-to-chip liquid-cooling segment is forecast to grow from USD 2.41 billion in 2025 to USD 17.33 billion by 2035. Spending on retrofits of existing data centers is projected to rise from USD 5.21 billion to USD 18.41 billion over the same period.

DC Market Insights links the outlook to higher-density AI workloads, liquid-cooling adoption and upgrades to existing facilities. Its release also characterizes grid-capacity constraints as an increasingly material factor in data-center development. In 2025, it estimated North America accounted for 41.4% of the green data-center market, followed by Asia-Pacific at 28.4% and Europe at 21.3%.

For operators and infrastructure suppliers, the outlook suggests that the commercial case for cooling, power-distribution, monitoring and heat-reuse solutions could increasingly rest on their ability to support denser AI deployments while reducing infrastructure losses. That remains an inference from the forecast rather than evidence of installed capacity or equipment deployment: the source provides no data on specific facilities, operators, projects or operational rollouts.

The release also cited approximately USD 3.09 million of green power and cooling content per MW in AI halls in 2025. However, it does not disclose the methodology or underlying data used for its market estimates and projections.

Почему это важно

The forecast points to cooling, energy efficiency and modernization as key infrastructure levers for supporting denser AI workloads under constraints on grid capacity, water and energy costs. If the projected growth materializes, demand could extend beyond new builds to upgrades of existing data-center estates.
