DC Market Insights has published a forecast for the global data center air-filtration market, valuing it at $520.20m in 2025 and projecting $1.19bn by 2035. The report characterises replacement filters and media as the principal demand base, while liquid cooling moderates first-fit filtration demand in new facilities.
- DC Market Insights values the global data center air-filtration market at $520.20m in 2025 and forecasts $1.19bn by 2035.
- Replacement filters and media represent 78.3% of 2025 market value, making the segment predominantly recurring rather than first-fit driven.
- The report forecasts replacement filters and media to grow faster than new-build first-fit filters: 9.33% versus 5.48% CAGR.
- Gas-phase filtration and economizer-intake filtration are the faster-growing applications cited in the forecast.
- North America is the largest reported market, while the Middle East and Africa has the highest forecast regional growth rate.
DC Market Insights, in a release carried by PR Newswire, has added its “Data Center Air Filtration Market - Growth, Share, Opportunities & Competitive Analysis, 2026-2035” report to its offering. The report estimates the global market at $520.20m in 2025 and forecasts growth to $1.19bn by 2035, equivalent to an 8.59% CAGR over 2025–2035.
The projected market is heavily weighted toward the installed base. Replacement filters and filtration media account for $407.26m, or 78.3%, of 2025 market value, according to the report. It forecasts replacement filters and media to grow at a 9.33% CAGR, compared with 5.48% for first-fit filters in new data centers. DC Market Insights attributes the slower first-fit growth partly to liquid cooling, which it says restrains demand for primary filters in new facilities.
For operators of air-cooled IT load, the report puts the fleet-average annual filter bill at about $3,600 per MW of air-handled IT load in 2025. Fine filters are identified as the largest filter type, representing 38.0% of 2025 market value.
The strongest growth is expected in more specialised filtration applications. Gas-phase filtration is projected to expand at an 11.16% CAGR, the highest rate among filter types cited in the release. Outside-air economizer intakes account for 27.0% of 2025 market value and are forecast to grow at a 10.10% CAGR as free-air cooling expands. These segments could indicate growing operator focus on mitigating particulate and corrosive contaminants in outdoor-air paths.
Regionally, North America is identified as the largest market, with 39.0% of 2025 value, or $202.87m. The Middle East and Africa is forecast to be the fastest-growing region, at a 12.13% CAGR. Camfil is identified as market leader with an estimated share of about 15% of 2025 market value.
The forecast describes air filtration as a growing data-center operating-supplies segment with recurring demand from air-cooled installed capacity. However, its estimates and projections should be treated as the publisher’s market view: the release does not disclose the underlying methodology, market-scope definitions, or source data.
For air-cooled data center fleets, filtration is primarily a recurring operating-supply requirement rather than a one-time construction purchase. The report suggests that demand may increasingly favour specialised gas-phase and outside-air filtration, while wider liquid-cooling deployment could constrain growth in first-fit filters for new builds.
