CoreWeave has announced its entry into India through a partnership with AdaniConneX, with plans for a 240MW AI data center campus at the Taloja site near Navi Mumbai. The planned campus would comprise three 80MW buildings, with CoreWeave as sole tenant.
- CoreWeave has announced a partnership with AdaniConneX for its first planned Indian deployment.
- The proposed Taloja campus is planned at 240MW of total-project capacity across three 80MW buildings.
- CoreWeave is expected to be the sole tenant of the three planned buildings.
- An option for a further 240MW could raise potential campus capacity to 480MW, but is not a commitment to build.
- The first phase is expected in mid-2028, with subsequent capacity planned in stages.
- The design includes direct liquid cooling for GPU halls and non-evaporative chilled-water cooling.
CoreWeave plans to deploy dedicated AI infrastructure at AdaniConneX’s Taloja site near Navi Mumbai, marking the company’s first announced move into the Indian market.
The proposed campus has a planned total-project capacity of 240MW across three 80MW buildings. CoreWeave is expected to be the sole tenant of all three facilities. The company also holds an option to add a further 240MW at the same campus, taking potential total-project capacity to 480MW. That expansion remains an option rather than committed construction or operational capacity.
The first phase is expected to enter service in mid-2028, according to the source, with further capacity planned to come online in phases. The project is proposed with direct liquid cooling in GPU halls and a non-evaporative chilled-water cooling system. CoreWeave also plans to deploy the NVIDIA Vera Rubin Platform for its AI Cloud.
For the Indian market, the planned development points to AI workloads as a potential driver of large-scale campus demand and specialised high-density infrastructure. If the proposed phases and expansion option are executed, the development could increase competition for suitable sites, power supply and AI-oriented mechanical and electrical systems in the Navi Mumbai agglomeration.
CoreWeave reported approximately 4.2GW of contracted power globally as of its 11 August 2026 earnings call. This figure is global contracted power and does not represent capacity or contracted power for the Taloja campus.
The proposal represents a large planned AI-focused campus for India, targeting high-density GPU infrastructure with direct liquid cooling. If its phased build-out and expansion option proceed, the site could become a material source of future demand for data center capacity, power and specialised engineering systems in the Navi Mumbai area.
