CENS Presents Precision Liquid-Mist Cooling for AI Server Hotspots

Редакция ЦОД:Главное

South Korean climate-tech startup CENSFusion Technology (CENS) has presented a precision-injection cooling approach that sprays a non-conductive insulating liquid as a mist onto high-heat areas of AI servers. The company positions the technology as a lower-fluid, lower-structural-load alternative to full liquid immersion cooling.

  • CENS has presented a liquid-mist precision-injection cooling approach for AI server hotspots.
  • The company claims 95% lower cooling-liquid use versus full immersion cooling.
  • CENS also claims a 70% reduction in structural load relative to full immersion.
  • The approach could be relevant to AI infrastructure retrofits where full immersion presents weight and fluid-volume constraints.
  • No commercial data-center deployment, contract, installed-base or independent performance validation was disclosed.

CENSFusion Technology (CENS) has introduced a precision-injection cooling technology designed for high-heat zones within AI servers. The system sprays a non-conductive insulating liquid in mist form onto targeted areas of heat concentration, rather than immersing the entire server in dielectric fluid.

CENS is positioning the approach for the AI data-center market. According to the company, the design reduces cooling-liquid use by 95% and structural load by 70% relative to conventional full-immersion cooling.

The proposed architecture sits between conventional air cooling and full immersion, targeting deployments where the latter may be difficult to accommodate because of the mass of the cooling system and the volume of dielectric liquid required. CENS said it is expanding into AI data centers using technology previously applied in environmentally oriented water-cooling systems for ships.

The potential relevance is strongest for operators assessing higher-density AI server deployments in existing facilities. A targeted cooling system could reduce some physical retrofit barriers associated with full immersion, but its commercial applicability and scalability remain unproven from the available information.

The reported performance figures were provided in an interview with CENS’s chief executive and have not been independently validated. The source does not disclose data-center deployments, customer contracts, installed base, cooled IT capacity, investment levels, or the measurement methodology and system boundary behind the reported reductions.

Почему это важно

As GPU power densities rise, heat rejection is becoming a deployment constraint for AI infrastructure. If CENS’s performance claims are validated in operating environments, targeted liquid-mist cooling could offer a retrofit-oriented option for facilities where full immersion is constrained by system weight, dielectric-fluid volumes and regulatory requirements.
